THE ARCHITECTURAL HEEL REVOLUTION

When Latvian “sole mates”,Sanita, who is responsible for designing, and Inga who is in charge of collection finishing details,met at primary school, they both knew that their dream was made up of nature, architecture, fashion, and…shoes. So in 2014,  they founded SAZ anddebuted with their colorful and funky SS15 collection, characterized by the architectural sculpted heels made of remnants of exclusive types of wood.

By celebrating passion for details and paying tribute to impeccable craftsmanship, SAZ designs standout pieces inspired by visual references from a variety of countries and cultures. The exotic flora of Cuba, elements of Russian elegance and Slavic fairy tale illustrations or Indian Chintz fabrics are some of the brand’s sources of inspiration.

The signature of SAZ - is the architectural heel inspired by Latvian flora and made exclusively by wood leftovers.SAZ enlivens jovially feminine designer footwear for women. By combining different kinds of leather with fur and wooden elements.Their collections are a close interplay between color and texture contrasts that often playfully venture upon the extremes of femininity and matureness.

Shoes are 100% handmade in Latvia with extreme care and accuracy. Whether it is specially printed leather, handcrafted sole or sculptural hand-carved wooden heel – the brand spirit is always experimental and adventurous.
